If you are lucky enough to have this space above your cabinets then you may have the love, hate relationship that I do. I always wanted more space to decorate. When we built I wanted the space above the cabinets so I could put "cute things." Sometimes, when I have to clean up there, I wonder what I was thinking. I love the look, but cleaning the grease and dust mixture off my faux plants and other items is really gross. (Do people still say gross?) Anyway here is what I like to do with my tops. I have a thing about cabinet tops. I like to make little vignettes at different points and not just cover all the area with stuff. I like to give your eye a place to stop and rest, so the speak.
Now they are all clean up there for another year. Ha. I wish!
What do your cabinet tops look like? Do they need a little attention?
Mine are empty and dusty! I've been thinking for a long time what I want to do. . . hmm. I's thinking some vinyl words in black (like sautee, mix, stir, etc). Still can't decide. ?
ReplyDeletePretty and interesting displays you have! My cupboards go all the way to the ceiling, but I have a large collection of vintage style tins I'd put up there. Also vintage canning jars.
