Laundry room makeover part 1

They arrived! The replacements, that is.

I have yet to use them. We are having trouble with the dryer set up. Not with the dryer itself but with the venting outside. Maybe tonight I will get to try them out. I sure hope so, 4 days without doing laundry, well you know what I mean.
So far I painted over the green paint with Behr Harvest Brown. I love that color. If you need a great neutral tan, that is it.
Today I will work on building a shelf above the coat hangers here.
I found these baskets and JoAnn's over the weekend for $8 for the set.
I got two sets so I could use the smaller ones on the shelf I am building. The others will be put to use somewhere else in the room.
Well, I better get going on the shelf or this room will never be done.
Have a great day!

  1. Love the pegs! We did that in our bathroom a while ago! Not sure what kind of venting issues you have, but ours vents outside and I don't like that, have you seen these?

  2. Oooh! It's looking great. I have a friend who's had Behr's Harvest Brown picked out for her family room, coincidentally. :)

  3. Can't wait to see the big reaveal! Don't you just love those great bargain goodies at JoAnn's?? :)

  4. Awesome! We have troubles with our dryer vent too. There's not enough room behind the dryer for it to connect without being really pinched. I love the new machines though - can't wait to see the final results!

  5. Your laundry is coming along nicely Brooke. I love the Harvest Brown on the walls and the pegs are a fabulous idea. xx

  6. Great deal on the baskets, Brooke! Love the wall color. Hope you get to do laundry soon. I know how it is just when I'm waiting for my adult kids to get their laundry out of my machines!

  7. Oh, wow, Brooke! I love what you've done so far. Harvest Brown is a fabulous color ... and the wall pegs are genious! It's all so bright and fun. I, too, am looking forward to your reveal. *Becca*
