I went shopping.....room by room, in my house. Here is what I found.
These are some interesting items. Hmmmmm what to do. I needed something with height and I am using red in that room as an accent so I needed something red. I know these are random things but I don't think it turned out too bad. I like it. I like it. At least until the perfect thing comes along.
Best yet, it was FREE! Don't you love shopping in your own home. It's like finding a great bargain. What do you think?
Yes, those are my sons army men on my two window seats. I have never been brave enouph to attemp cushions for them. I got a quote once from Calico Corners, they had to help me up after I tipped over backwards. It was alot! Anyone who can give me advise on how to make them it would be welcome.
The mantel turned out absolutely beautiful. I often do the same thing, shopping my own home. Actually it's time to head into the basement storage area again to see what I can bring up into the bedroom. I did paint the trees free-hand. I took pictures of my trees this past fall when they were bare of leaves and then I looked at the pictures as I outlined on the wall. Once I got a basic outline of a tree, the rest was just filling in. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I'm going to look around here a bit more and see what other goodies you have!
